Through sheer panic at the sight of Varian's change, Danny manages to break free from the guard's grip and go tumbling towards the cluster of fae around Varian. He'd been afraid to show his ghost form here before, fearing that it would just make his situation worse. But he needed the extra speed right now, so he transforms in a flash of light. His wings transform as well, shifting into vaguely wing shaped masses of green energy.

And he dives speeding past the Fae guards as he tries to barrel through the cluster of Fae to reach his friend.
